I've been so busy getting ready for the new racing season that I haven't had time to breathe much less make a post.
Suffice it to say that things are good, Heero and I are well, Percy is still a scamp and Bob has learned how to fish from our recently acquired aquarium.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Wufei Chang-Merquise and Mr. Zechs Merquise-Chang. Although they tell me they are keeping their names as is. We'll see how long that decision lasts. Besides I want to be able to tease them that they copied us.
They were resplendent in their non-matching red shirt and gray pants for Wufei and winter white pants and light blue sweater for Zechs.
Relena held the rings until the ring ceremony. When it came time to kiss, the judge made an odd request, he asked that they wait until the first stroke of midnight.
We retired to the dining room and shared some finger foods, cake and champagne. We're doing the grand celebration later this evening with dinner, dancing and fireworks.
I'm very proud of Wufei, he didn't try to turn tail even once. Not that it would have helped because all the doors were locked down and guarded. (That was a joke).

I think Wufei needs a smack across the back of the head. The man has been acting as if he's been sentenced to death instead of a man about to get married in a couple of days.
No doubt Zechs has his hands full right now. Besides dealing with Wufei, his sister and Winner, he's got more visitors. Sally, Lady Une and Mariemeia have arrived for the nuptials.

Big Paul (who's been getting bigger lately - around the gut) asked me to publicly thank Wufei and Zechs for the feast Wufei brought over today.
What few leftovers were - leftover, Paul took home. If Wufei was a woman, I have no doubt Paul would be proposing - if his wife would let him, that is.
On another note, there hasn't been much going on lately for me to post about. I think Heero's and my lives are getting boring again. I am definitely going to have to do something about that.

She arrived on a cyclone and left on a dustdevil. But that's only because Catalonia's entrances are far grander than her exits. Which for us was giving her the bum's rush this morning. (Which was rushing her to the door and telling her how much we enjoyed her visit, that we were sorry she has to leave in such a hurry but please do take her time coming back.)
And I am going to kill Wufei, or at least seriously maim him, for not giving us advance warning that she was coming. That goes for Merquise too.
Her visits are pleasant enough, I guess, except that with her you never know if she's just catching up with her friends' lives or digging for dirt to use against them later. I told her she'd make a great gossip columnist.
She's considering the idea.

We didn't do anything fancy for Heero's birthday. I baked him a cake and we went out to his favorite restaurant. The important thing is that he enjoyed himself - and I enjoyed himself later on. ~_^

Shen isn't coming home.
(edit) The DNA testing was given top priority, due to the nature of the event and the possibility there had been a crime committed as it is believed Shen was kidnapped and brought to L2.
There were enough matching alleles shared by Shen and the couple claiming to be his parents to prove they are his parents.
We've also found out that the woman is expecting another child.

Unfortunately, we have found out that L2 Child Services only has access to local missing persons files, including those of missing children due to budget restraints.
And normally, a child will stay with the foster parents, but since Wufei and Zechs applied for adoption, they've shown they have more than a casual human interest in Shen. So, since that interest is there, Child Services has to be prepared for a chance that Zechs and Wufei could cut and run with Shen. Now, Child Services does not believe that Zechs and Wufei would be so stupid or insane to try something like that, but they can't show preferencial treatment. It's their standard operating procedure. Since this is a missing child case, the courts are moving quickly to keep the trauma as minimal as possible to Shen.
At least that is how it was explained to Relena, who passed it on to us. Not even she has enough clout to make this go away. She tried.

Sometime life hands you lemons and you just want to shove them up someone's ass - sideways. If I had known then what I know now, I would have shoved those lemons up the asses of the photographers that were taking picutures of us at Disney World. Those pictures were picked up by every media and news source on Earth and the Colonies.
The social workers came this morning and took Shen away from Wufei and Zechs because someone has claimed him as their son. We don't know all the details yet except it seems that these people claim that Shen was kidnapped about a year ago and he's been on a missing child list ever since he disappeared.
It's strange how things turn out, one minute you're having fun with the people you think of as family and the next minute their lives are being torn apart and there's nothing you can do to help.

With kids being kids we ended up going back to Disney after a couple of days of begging. They finally gave into me. *grins*
There were a lot of people around with cameras, but considering where we were, we didn't really think much of it. We were loaded down with cameras ourselves.
Well, let me tell you there's nothing like turning on the tv to catch up on current events and seeing yourself and your friends splattered across the screen.
Apparently Relena and Quatre dating is really big news. They've been dubbed Quatrelena by the media and it seems people are betting on where and when a proposal will take place. Right now the odds are in favor of Valentine's Day.

I think Wufei is beginning to think it wasn't such a great idea to include Relena and Quatre in our vacation. Relena has done nothing but throw not so subtle hints at him that he and Zechs should make things legal.
In the mean time, Shen is showing everyone just how much energy a four year old has. Which is more than the rest of us combined, with the exception of Aly.
I suspect those two will still be wide awake after the rest of us have passed out from shear exhaustion trying to out wait them.
I will never agree to all of us staying in one large suite again. Heero and I can just kiss goodbye the idea of anything friskier than a kiss while we're here.

Around Wednesday, Wufei got this hairbrained idea that he and Zechs should take Shen to an amusement park.
Now let me explain that going to an amusement park in the colonies isn't exactly the same as on Earth. One of the abandoned colonies in the L2 cluster; L2-62014 to be exact, was revitalized and converted into a large entertainment complex. One section is devoted entirely to the amusement park concept, complete with a water park area. It is a fusion of the kinds of parks you find on Earth such as Disney World and Six Flags, and you need to make a reservation.
I'm not sure how Wufei managed to get a reservation so quickly, although I wouldn't doubt he had a "powerful friend" pull some strings.
I'm also not sure how he managed to talk Heero and me into it either, especially since it was on such short notice, but he did. Heero was all over the idea. I have to admit, life has been the same old, same old for the last few months. I also suspect that Heero is getting bored being a businessman.
Well anyway, we arrived on 62014 on Friday night and yesterday morning we opened the place and closed it.
Shen, a.k.a. The Squirt, has more stamina than the 4 of us combined. Of course that may have something to do with the little naps he took off and on during the day. I have to admit that it was a cute sight, Shen with his head resting on Wufei's shoulder while Wufei carried him, sound asleep and dead to the world. It was even cuter when he'd wake up, rub his nose on Wufei's shirt and ask his "Momma" if they could go on the whirly ride again. That would be the carousel.
Naturally, I had to call him Wu-Momma every chance I got until Heero told me to knock it off, I'd wore the joke down to a nub.
Spoilsport.
